NetXperts announces the first major IP Communications Solution in the Sutter Health network of Hospitals at Eden Medical Center

Today, NetXperts, Inc. announced that a deal has been reached with Eden Medical Center to provide a flexible voice over IP solution to support up to 2500 users, as well as support future and existing Medical Office Buildings (MOBs), facilities, parking lot-based mobile trailers, administrative facilities and remote users.
NetXperts customized this solution to leverage future technology such as video conferencing, telemedicine, employee management, XML applications, and overhead paging. The solution provided leverages the existing investment in both EMC’s data and telecommunications networks at Eden Hospital and San Leandro Hospital. This converged IP-based solution will introduce Cisco Systems’ Call Manager server-based call control to support all users at Eden Medical Center, yet provide complete integration with San Leandro Hospital’s existing telecommunications network. This system will interact with SLH’s existing PBX phone system. Cisco’s UNITY voicemail, integrated service routers, and over 900 phones will also be implemented as part of this project.
NetXperts successfully leveraged its comprehensive experience in the healthcare industry to customize a solution that would be most beneficial for this Sutter affiliate, maximizing its productivity and patient quality of care. NetXperts looks forward to collaborating with Eden Medical Center for this major deployment, which is expected to begin in summer of 2006.

Eden Medical Center (EMC) is a 367 bed, not-for-profit critical care hospital located in Castro Valley, CA. Constructed in 1954, EMC serves Southern Alameda County and its surrounding communities. Eden Medical Center includes Eden Hospital, Laurel Grove Acute Rehabilitation Hospital, Baywood Court Skilled Nursing Facility and San Leandro Hospital. The Eden Township Healthcare District was formed in 1948 to build and operate Eden Hospital.
